Hopefully the experience isn’t littered with poor connectivity in the future. The 3-on-3 Pro-Am concept is a winner conceptually. I’ve never been one to spend a ton on VC, but others who have taken that route will likely see that it isn’t necessary in this year’s game. It has created a more user-friendly experience that is much less of a money drain than it has been in the past.

I’ve already identified multiple ways to upgrade my guy without spending money.ĢK’s objective this year is for players to make multiple builds, and because of that, the rise to 99 has been made shorter. Sure, you can spend VC to accelerate your player’s growth, but it’s not necessary. The M圜areer Grind Is Shorter and More PurposefulĢK isn’t draining your pockets in the drive to reach 99 overall this year. For those reasons, I still consider it a strength and not a weakness.

It reminds me a bit of The Journey in the FIFA series with its pacing and incorporation of real NBA concepts like G League and The Combine. From the voice acting to the story, I feel engaged as things move along. That said, this one is incredibly well done. I’m of the belief, the M圜areer experience tells its on story and a pre-written one isn’t necessary. Overall, MyTeam offers as much entertainment as you’ll find in any mode. It cuts down the non-basketball lineups we were seeing in NBA 2K19’s version of MyTeam. The new position-locking system is one of the best new additions. It’s a matter of learning to use the cards that are in your collection. Oftentimes, the newest release really isn’t better than some of the others that are out and much easier to get. Many users confuse the newest cards with the best cards.
If you don’t want to spend money, there are more than enough ways to earn MyTeam points that will allow you to compete with any team you’ll face in the mode. Despite what you’ll hear from many people, you don’t have to spend a ton of money to be competitive. There is so much to do, and so many ways to play. I fully expect it to be diluted through the year with an abundance of cards to keep fans pining for the latest release. I love the work put into MyTeam this year.
